Margaret Scott

Margaret Scott (1934-2005) was born in Bristol, England. She is most well known for her poetry and academic life. She studied at Cambridge University from 1953 to 1956. In 1959 she emigrated to Tasmania with her first husband Michael Boddy and their son. Scott lectured in English at the University of Tasmania from 1966 to 1989 and there received her PhD 1978. In 1989 she became head of the English department. Notable publications include:
