TasWriters welcomes new members any time and we are pleased to announce that our new membership system is up and going so you can join via the link below, which will transfer you to the membership management system (this is called Wild Apricot).

Benefits of membership

Belonging to TasWriters provides members with access to a great range of services including:

• A link to writers and writers groups throughout the State, including Seasonal Poets, Republic Readings, Women’s Poetry Oasis and book launches.
• A regular on-line newsletter, providing up-to-date information on competitions and other opportunities for writers
• Access to members only pages and information on our website (go to ‘login’ if you are already a member)
• A fantastic 10% book lovers’ discount at the Hobart Bookshop (excluding specials and secondhand books)
• Workshops and courses for writers of various genres, including memoirs, novels, science fiction and children’s literature (see our Events page for details of up-coming events)
• Access to a professional Manuscript Assessment Service
• Meet the Publisher events to facilitate pitching manuscripts to publishers
• Opportunities to participate in marketing activities like our Buy Tassie Books at Christmas publication.
• Mentoring Services—provided by professional subcontractors

• Hidden Stories program for Indigenous writers
• Writers Festivals — premier biennial literary events held in alternate years in the north and south of the State.

Annual membership fees are: full-time student $25; concession $50 and full $75.
